ACETONE: US spot Acetone was
stable at $810/mt FOB USG, Aug. 23, based on price negotiations at $800-$900/mt
during the week. According to sources, the July domestic acetone contract
assessment was settled at 43.50c/lb ($959/mt). PHENOL: The US spot phenol was steady at $1.606/mt FOB USG
the week of Aug. 23. Notional pricing
indications at benzene plus 10c/lb informed the assessment. Domestic phenol assessments for truck and railcar were
$1,816/mt (82.37c/lb). This was based on last-heard discussions at 17-25
cents/lb benzene-plus. IPA: The US
isopropyl alcohol remained steady at $1,301/mt on August 23. IPA FOB USG at $1,301/mt based on last-heard discussions at
that level. Based on discussions last
heard at that level, domestic prices remain at $1,439/mt. Upstream, the spot price of refinery-grade propylene fell by
