expected in July



Subdued market sentiment and ample supply
caused India's Methanol prices to fall on June 9. Dollar-denominated
discussions remained thin despite lower buying ideas. We received bids at $348-370/mt
but they were not accepted. A Middle East producer suggested that we might sell
on a formula. Another trader deemed the bid for a Russian parcel, reported June
8, at $330/mt CIF India too low. During the day, no trades were reported. CFR
India methanol was valued at $2-3/mt less on June 9, and $343-370/mt on July 9.
Due to low demand, the ex-tank India price was lower at Rupees 29. 00-29. 25
