Asia Polyols, Isocyanates: PMDI stable, TDI rises $81/mt WOW and slabstock stable - Low inventory, limited supply cited for TDI price hike - Demand stable to slow ahead of New Year’s break

Asian polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (PMDI) and slabstock polyol remained stable, while toluene diisocyanate (TDI) prices increased in the week ended Dec. 19. CFR India PMDI stable week over week at $1,750/mt on Dec. 19, below an offer at $1,800/mt. Domestic prices remained stable to firm week over week in the range of Rupee 155-175/kg. MDI upstream Asian benzene FOB Korea marker stable week over week at $655.67/mt on Dec. 19. A China-based producer said they were low on inventory during their maintenance and are not accepting orders below their offered prices. The plant is set to restart in January.
