India Styrene monomer: price drop continues on lower China rates / Ex-tanks at Rupees 99/kg / Premium to CFR China Marker Stable at $35/mt

The downward trend in the styrene market continued into the week ending March 21. Softer prices in China, and mostly stable premiums, weighed on CFR India rates. CFR China's styrene-monomer price was down $20.50/mt since March 13, and now stands at $970.50/mt. The discussion levels of the CFR China premium remained the same week after week. Trading levels for India were around $35/mt. Offer levels for India, however, were at CFR China plus 40/mt. This is a slight rise compared to last week. "The level of tradable premiums over CFR China remains unchanged. The Chinese market, however, has lower prices. The price trend is unclear in the coming days, and a lot will depend on the performance of the crude oil market," said a supplier to eastern India. The fundamentals...
