India Styrene Monomer: CFR India falls on low demand / Ex-tank Kandla offers about Rupees 83/kg / Market quiet amid Golden Week holidays in China

The Indian styrene market declined in the week to Oct. 3 due to stable-to-slow domestic demand and amid the Golden Week holidays in China. the weekly styrene monomer CFR India marker down $1.50/mt from the last assessment at $859/ mt Oct. 3. The premium to CFR China was up $3/mt week over week at $15/mt on Oct. 3, under the lowest offer at CFR China plus $25/ mt from a seller and above a buying idea at CFR China plus $10/ mt from a buyer. “There is good demand from end-users, however, too many participants are present in the styrene market, which keeps the material flowing in,” said a Mumbai-based trader. “The market is sluggish and there is no constant demand coming from some end-users, such as unsaturated polyester resin...
