The Indian styrene monomer market fell in the week to July 31, tracking lower crude oil and China values. the weekly styrene monomer CFR India marker down $64/mt from the last assessment at $1,222/mt on July 31, under offers heard in the range of $1,250-$1,280/mt CFR India from buyers and sellers. The premium to CFR China was stable on the week at $115/mt on July 31, under the lowest offer level heard at CFR China plus $120/mt and above a bid at CFR China plus $100/mt from a buyer. Spot discussions remained muted this week as US-Iran tensions slowed down, and sellers cited lower offers for Chinaorigin material. Offers were heard at around $1,250-$1,280/mt CFR India levels.
