India Recycled PE: Market fundamentals stay unchanged post festive season / Mixed feedback among traders, recyclers / India virgin PE prices down WOW

The Indian recycled high-density polyethylene non-food-grade market ended stable week over week to Oct. 29 with unchanged indications from participants. the recycled high-density polyethylene nonfood- grade black color deodorized pellets with a melt flow index between 0.3 and 0.7, when tested at a sample size of 2.16 kg, at Rupees 85/kg, under an offer at Rupees 88/kg. The assessment was under a tradable level heard at Rupees 86/kg from a trader. A large recycler source said he was seeing firm demand post Diwali and had increased their offer prices by Rupees 2/kg. Elsewhere, traders said demand was sluggish. Although there are mandates in place for non-food-grade applications packaging, another trader added that they still saw limited offtake due to volatile virgin prices and hence, demand was not growing as strongly...
