The week ended Jan. 6 saw an increase in
trading activity with multiple market participants in Asia-Pacific receiving
bids on FOBUnv1, China, or CFR India basis. Rupee 3/kg to Rupee106/kg
rose in domestic ex-Kandla markets this week. Indian buyers of styrene monomer said that the country had
experienced "short term supply issues" in the past week. However,
demand remains stable. The benchmark benzene FOB Korea price rose Rupee 3/kg to
Rupee 106/kg this week. Meanwhile, the March ICE Brent crude futures contract
remained rangebound at 27 cents/b, to $78.85/b, as of 4:30 PM Singapore time
(0830 GMT).
