Asian methyl Tertiary Butyl Eth was $22/mt
lower than the previous day, at $1,024/mt Nov. 8, as gasoline prices fell. The Market on Close
evaluation process Nov. 8 saw no bids or offers, keeping the factor at 1.233. Sources indicated that there was an increase in gasoline
demand, which has led to increased MTBE trading activity over two weeks. On a daily basis, the spread between RON 92 (RON 95) grew
$6.09/b. MTBE was highly sought-after in
November due to tight prompt cargo supplies in Singapore. Inflows from China
are expected to arrive later in December, a trader stated. Sources say that RON 95 demand will continue through 2022,
which should support MTBE consumption. The
