Asian isomer MX $2/mt stronger daily at
$807.50/mt FOB Korea, and $833.50/mt CFR Unv1 Dec. 22, increasing in line with
crude market. CFR
China was valued at $4/mt higher on the day, at $824/mt CFR China. A market source stated that while the spread between PX and
MX has increased significantly, the arbitrage window for trade with China isn't
sufficient, making it difficult to act at the moment. He expects the market to stabilize in February 2023, with a
stronger supply/demand balance. Sources
said that Sinopec reduced its east China domestic prices by Yuan 150/mt, to
Yuan 7,050/mt Dec. 22. South Korea
imported 28,257 mt isomer X from Japan. It also exported 37,379mt to China and
24,284mt to the USA....
