Low demand in Asia caused
the Asian nonethylene glycol price to fall despite higher crude oil prices on
May 6. Sources said that the extended COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in
Shanghai (China's largest city) had caused Asian nonethylene glycol prices to
fall due to weak demand despite higher crude oil on May 6. The ICE July Brent crude oil futures rose $1.31/b on the day
to $111.72/b by the 0830 GMT Asian Market close. MEG stocks will remain low throughout the year due to
large-scale production cuts in the global economy. Trade participants stated
