Hyundai Chemical plans turnaround at cracker

Hyundai Chemical is likely to take off stream its cracker in Daesan. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is in plans to shut the cracker by mid-October 2025 for a maintenance turnaround. The cracker is slated to remain offline for about 50 days.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 850,000 mt/year and propylene production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
