The naphtha market was boosted
by increased preholiday purchase. Tenders were issued and concluded Dec. 23.
Brokers pegged the January-February Mean of Japan naphtha Swap time spread at
$7.25-8.50/mt. This spread is 50 cents/mt more than the Dec. 22 Asian close. CPC
purchased 165,000 barrels of naphtha with minimum 70% paraffin content for Jan.
27-28 loading. Each tender requests
