Under muted discussion, Asian mono ethylene
glycol was down $10-15/mt at $550-570/mt CFR China on June 29, amid a $10-15/mt
assessment. The
active-traded September MEG futures on Dalian Commodity Exchange fell from Yuan 60-100/mt
to Yuan 4,408-4,500/mt expand. Buyers took
a cautious approach to the fall in MEG prices over the past week. However,
producers weren't eager to sell as current prices are too low to sustain their
margins. The operating rates of polyester
fell from 59% to 56% in east China, indicating that there was still little
demand for it. August ICE Brent crude oil
futures increased $1.07-2.5/b over the course of the day to $117.66-145.25/b by
the 0830 GMT Asian closing on June 29. In-plant
