The petrochemical facility is expected to shut down in mid-April for maintenance. A domestic industry source told a member of the team that this is what is planned. The shutdown will last until the end of May 2025. Located in Haldia, in the eastern Indian province of West Bengal, the complex consists of a cracker that has an ethylene production capacity of 700,000.mt/year, and a propylene production capacity of 350.000mt/year. The complex has downstream units that include a PP unit, which can produce 350,000 mt/year. PE units also have a HDPE unit and a LLDPE/HDPE Swing Unit with a combined production capacity 370,000 mt/year.
