ICE Brent crude oil futures fell from $1.53-2.50/b to $91.8/b on Aug. 17. Due to China's economic slowdown, and China movement
restrictions, converters were hesitant to buy. Sources said that there were delays in startups and that the
Asian focus is on localized PE production. In China, there were supposed to be 2.4 million mt/year more
new plants. Another 0.5 million mt/year was to be added to the list. However,
some plants may have been delayed or delayed by poor economic conditions,
