market was flooded with buyers, as inventories were low. The price rise was not as significant as expected, however,
because imports remained expensive and most Asian currencies were depreciating
against US dollars. Traders said that the
outlook for next week was quiet because of China's National Day holiday. Due to low market activity, South Asian high-density
polyethylene prices remained stable during the week ending Sept. 28. An official from an Indian producer said that the actual
consumption was still low, barring some festive-related activities. The market
