Asian high-density plastic ethylene price was largely stable on Dec. 1. The South
Asia HDPE market was stable from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, with traders telling
S&P Global of lackluster market activity as they approach the end of 2021. Participants in the market also said that price protection
measures did not reduce spot market prices. Although there should be more resistance to price
protection, I have not seen the prices drop on the ground. One market source said that there is a large gap in
expectations between buyers and sellers, despite price protections. The
