Market sources indicated that cracker feed
naphtha was still in short supply in Asia, despite ample demand. However, the
market is seeing an increase in the demand for heavier grades of naphtha due to
healthy spreads for aromatics. Tender
news: The Qatar Energy tender for 50,000mt of full-range naphtha, and 25,000mt
of light Naphtha was closed at a premium of $50-55/mt compared to the Mean of
Arab Gulf assessments. Although there was
some shock at the premium, some market sources said it was too expensive.
However, this was expected due to the popularity of full-range naphtha. CFR Unv1/China naphtha marker was evaluated up to $2-3/mt,
