Asian Glacial Acrylic Acid: Declines WOW; outlook positive Units in Ningbo, Taixing and other cities closed due to maintenance / Increased demand in advance of Chinese holidays in May

On April 22, the Chinese market for glacial acrylic acids was stable from day to day, but it dropped Yuan 20/mt in one week. The price of 7,650 Yuan/mt reflects a tradable range between 7,600 and 7,800 Yuan/mt. Market participants expect prices to rise in the near future despite the recent drop. The market is still experiencing a shortage of supplies as GAA units were closed in Ningbo and Taixing for maintenance. Spot buying has also increased in the domestic market ahead of the Chinese holiday. A domestic trader stated that "some downstream have begun to buy some spot so the price may rise, but not by much". The downstream demand was performing well, and some buyers were willing and able to buy at lower prices when the new contracts...
