On April 1, the Chinese market for glacial acrylic acids was up Yuan 800/mt compared to a day earlier and Yuan 1,000/mt compared to a week prior, at Yuan 8,400/mt. This is based on a tradeable indicator heard at Yuan 8,400-8,400/mt. A domestic trader stated that "almost everything is up"... the oil price is rising and its direct costs are also higher. Some units are still being maintained in Ningbo, and the supply is tight. Sellers were offering a range between Yuan 8,400 and 8,400/mt. A market source stated that "since yesterday, some urgent orders have come in from downstream...other downstream [participants] are waiting to digest these contracts first".
