CIF NWE naphtha cargo
price rose 4.7% in the wake of strength in the wider oil complex. However,
supply and demand fundamentals remained unchanged, sources stated on April 26. There were signs that demand could rise, with gasoline at an
all-time high of 3.3% versus naphtha. This could increase gasoline blender
demand. A source stated that until West
African gasoline demand increases, there will not be a material shift in
naphtha prices. According to refinery
news, Taif from Russia's Tatarstan area resumed naphtha production following
Sibur's agreement to renew its purchase. Taif had stopped production in April because there were no
outlets to sell its naphtha. The May CIF
