ethylene prices remained unchanged on Nov. 22 due to thin trade. Buyers
remained in a wait and watch mode regarding spot discussions. According to
S&P Commodity Insights gas freight rates (last assessed Nov. 18), gas
freights from the US to Northeast Asia were $330/mt and gas freights from
Southeast Asia to the Middle East were $195/mt. Traders said that Asia
demand was expected softening until China returns to a normal level of
consumption and production. Sellers stated that they were unable to offer due
to high freight rates and production costs of ethylene. The overall demand
was low, with buyers stating that they don't have the urgency to buy due to
