Formosa Plastics Corp operates 2-EHA plant at lower rates

Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) is running its 2-Ethyl Hexyl Acrylate (2-EHA) plant at curtailed rates. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to operate the plant at approximately 50% of its capacity throughout January 2026. The reason for the lower rates could not be ascertained.” Located in Ningbo, Zhejiang province of China, the plant has a production capacity of 80,000 mt/year.
