On Nov. 24, Asian benzene market prices
were impacted by low demand and high supply. The FOB Korea market
offered a January loading lay can at $777/mt. This was despite support from the second half of December layman at $788-810/mt. The January offer was accepted, prompting the FOB
Korea-benzene marker's termination of the session at $781-800/mt Nov. 24. The H2 December-January structure changed into a
backwardation at $12-18/mt from a contango that was minus $5-6/mt. Shandong-based producer listed benzene's price at Yuan 6,803-7,000/mt
Nov. 24, but east China's domestic market declined by Yuan 27, leaving the marker
at Yuan 671/mt or $818.24/mt Nov. 24. The
