Spot prices for US nitration-grade toluene
were steady on July 7, but mixed xylenes fell on lower offers. July NGT was flat at
624c/gal. July MX fell 38 cents to
585c/gal on the day. July MX was last sold
at 590c/gal DDP HTC Deer Park, but it did not attract any buying interest. After the market closed, a deal for 20,000 barrels of July MX
at 575c/gal DDP HTC had been made. According
to the weekly Energy Information Administration statistics, blending components
inventories decreased 1.5% from July 1st to 201.5 million barrels. The data showed that this was 6.3% less than the year-ago
