Orlen Unipetrol resumes production at cracker

Orlen Unipetrol has restarted its cracker in Litvinov. A source in Czech Republic informed a team member, “The company has resumed operations at the cracker in end July 2025, even as a force majeure (FM) on supplies from the unit continues to remain in force. The cracker was taken off stream in an unscheduled manner and the FM was declared around July 10, 2025 due to a power failure.” Located in Litvinov, Czech Republic, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 585,000 mt/year and propylene production capacity of 320,000 mt/year.
