Fanavaran undertakes unplanned shutdown at methanol unit

Fanavaran Petrochemical Company has taken off stream its methanol unit. A source in Iran informed a team member, “The company has halted operations at the unit on July 1, 2025 owing to a mechanical glitch. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Bandar Imam, Iran, the plant has a production capacity of 1 million mt/year.
