Formosa Plastics USA is likely to take off stream its No.2 Ethylene glycol (EG) unit in Point Comfort, Texas. A source in the US informed a team member, “The company is in plans to halt operations at the unit by October 2025 for maintenance. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Point Comfort, Texas in the US, the No.2 unit has a production capacity of 800,000 mt/year.
