YNCC to halt production at No.3 cracker

Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Centre (YNCC) is likely to shut down its No.3 cracker in Yeosu. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company has planned to take its cracker off stream on August 8, 2025 owing to poor market conditions. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.”Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the No.3 cracker has ethylene production capacity of 470,000 mt/year and propylene production capacity of 270,000 mt/year.
