Asian benzene prices dropped Nov. 15, due
to a lack of demand and abundant supply, as China's frenzy about easing
COVID-19 restrictions waned. An
offer was made for a January-loading FOB Korea cargo of benzene at $830/mt, but
the price was reduced to $830/mt for the first-half of December-loading cargo. FOB Korea's benzene marker fell $11.17/mt to $829.33/mt Nov.
15. Sources said that there were few
discussions about spot cargoes on CFR China basis due to the weakening of the
east China domestic market. The Yuan 7,000-7,080/mt
ex-tank supplies for H2November were low before dropping below that price. Sources say that there were some quotations for domestic
