- Ex-Korea Cargo fixed to the US- Asia sentiment is bearish

FOB Korea butadiene prices rose $30-35/mt
on Nov. 10, as US demand emerged. A 5,000-mt spot cargo traded at $810-830/mt
FOB Korea. This was for the December loading. The cargo was expected to arrive in the US
within the first quarter of next year. Sources
said that at least three spot cargoes were available from Southeast Asia. This
was despite lower downstream plant operations in Asia. Some
end-users were looking for the opportunity to sell spot butadiene cargoes so as
to draw down their high inventories. Meanwhile, domestic Chinese butadiene is the stable day on day yuan 6,500-6,700/mt Nov. 10, or $778-800/mt on an import
parity basis.
