the week ending Nov. 9, European PVC prices continued their decline. This was
due to weak demand and oversupply globally. More competitive imports are
expected in Europe. Producers acknowledged that October's pricing was
significantly lower than October due to the global supply of PVC from North
Africa and the Americas. European producers had to compete with the rest
of Europe and offer substantial discounts due to material arriving at key
Turkish hub. Some traders dismissed the low pricing that was being offered
by traders last week, which was Eur855/mt DDP Europa. One trader stated
that "my impression is that prices are sharply falling." A
producer source stated that prices will continue...
