European Propylene: Discounts increase amid uncertainty- Still low production levels- February CP settles Eur80/mt for monthIn the week ending February 3, European
propylene markets were under pressure as weak demand across the value chain
continued to impact the market. Participants remained cautious about their 2023
outlooks, however. One
trader stated that there was still very little demand for C3 derivatives. He
also said that there is no reason to expect any improvement in February. The
first quarter of 2023 will be depressed. The
discount levels for polymer-grade propylene continued to rise despite the lack
of liquidity in a number of derivative markets. The February market saw a lower demand for material than
