European Methanol: Spot prices remain stable as quiet market conditions persist ,, / No deal heard on day; 3,000 tonnes traded in week / No bids were heard this week; the offers remained stable at EUR320/mt

The European methanol spot price stabilized on 28 March amid low trading activity and stable bids. The price of T2 methanol FOB Rotterdam was Eur319/mt unchanged from the previous week. On the day no deals were concluded, down from 1,000 mt of trade on March 27. Trading activity on a weekly level has slowed to 3,000 mt, down from 8,000 mt the week prior to March 21. The day-to-day offers remained at Eur320/mt, for all months of the second quarter. However, bidding activity remained low throughout the week. The buyer confirmed that the supply situation in Europe was good, and added that the higher European spot prices early this year attracted more material imports than usual.
