Chemical declared force majeure in 2023 on the supply of glycol from its
720,000 mt/year Louisiana nameplate plant in Lake Charles. This was in response
to a December storm. Monoethylene glycol FCA spot was increased by Eur5/mt
since Dec. 16, at Eur625/mt January 6. Within traded levels of Eur580-660/mt
Feb. 5, European truck MEG parcels reached Eur660/mt ($700/mt FCA Antwerp) this
week, as buyers tried to replenish stock due to US production problems
following Storm Elliot. The traded range was wide despite this with final
PET consumer demand in Europe still being depressed. Trucks traded as low at
