Sources said that the European naphtha
cracked rose on February 14. This was due to weaker supply conditions and EU
sanctions against Russian oil products. The March crack spread was valued at 70 cents/b
at +0.54.45/b. It has been fluctuating in a range of minus $5/b to minus $7/b
over several weeks. This is a significant recovery from Dec. 30, 2022, when it
was valued at minus $13/b. According to sources, blending
demand is improving due to stronger US demand for European gasoline. Sources say
that the situation was not the same regardless of the naphtha quality,
particularly in a tight octanes booster marketplace. A source
