Europe Recycled HPE: Price Correction as Market Reopens- Spot price fell by Eur2070/mt during week- The bale market is lagging behind the pellet marketIn the second week 2023, spot prices on
Europe's recycled HDPE market saw a significant drop. Translucent grade
experienced a smaller decline of Eur20/mt while light grade saw a larger
decrease of Eur70/mt. Recyclers
noted that there was less demand for end-application than usual. However, the
demand from consumer packaging and cosmetic packaging has slowed since the
second half 2022. A northwestern European
recycler stated that the market was not looking good due to all the economic
turmoil. "The price difference for virgin is Eur500/mt and it's hard for
