as buyers weren't eager to purchase imports due to low demand for downstream. Due
to weak margins, there was little demand for ethylene imports. The selling
indications were heard at $930 to$950/mt
CFR NE Asia, while the buying indications were around $850/mt. A Chinese
trader stated that downstream PVC is weak and the cost of naphtha feedstock are
so high that no one would want to import ethylene. The operating rates of
