The Asia naphtha market saw
some upside on September 1st as the key spread of ethylene-naphtha shifted into
positive territory. However, market sources were skeptical that this would be
sustainable since the spread change was due to planned maintenance. Sources said that there
were a few steam crackers from north Asia going into maintenance, which would
