$780/mt Jan. 27, and $15/mt for the week due to a stronger demand sentiment. The
CFR Northeast Asia ethylene rose $10/mt and $15/mt during the week to $780/mt
Jan. 27, CFR Southeast Asia ethylene was stable at $840/mt on the day. As
downstream demand increases, market sentiment is stronger. Consequently,
ethylene prices will rise once China resumes trading on Jan. 30. The
spread in price between PE and E was $190/mt Jan. 27. This is higher than the
$150/mt breakeven spread. According to market sources, it may take some
time for a better understanding of the actual demand rise once the Lunar New
