The US ethylene spot market liquidity was
thin on July 14, as market participants only reported one EPC trade on that day. Spot July EPC Ethanol fell by 0.875 Cents to 22.625
Cents/lb Fd Mont Belvieu. This was based upon a trade that was heard at that
level on the same day. August spot EPC ethylene fell 0.875cs to
22.375c/lb FD Mont Belvieu. However, the market structure was maintained
despite the latest market indications. Choctaw
ethylene was not discussed openly on the day. Therefore, July and August
Choctaw ethylene remained stable at 24.25 and 24.5 cents/lb FD Choctaw
respectively. Market liquidity has proven thin due to
"the middle of the summer -- it's usually quiet with no
disruptions/hurricanes,"...
