Nov. 9. Sources said that the recession worries caused a duller demand for
polyester. January ICE Brent crude oil futures fell $2.97/b on the day to
$94.75/b by 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT), Nov. 9. On the Dalian
Commodity Exchange, the January 2023 MEG futures contract was actively traded
at Yuan 3,858/mt. MEG prices remain at their two-year low. Traders
said that MEG margins will remain subdued in 2023 because capacity additions in
China have outweighed demand in recent decades. This has led to operating rates
hovering below 60% in China.Asian
