Asian ethylene di chloride spot prices remained stable during the week ending June 19. Buyers took a "wait and watch" approach due to a lack clarity regarding the outlook for downstream PVC despite increasing ethylene feedstock costs. EDC CFR Far East Asia remained unchanged at $175/mt on June 19, while EDC CFR Southeast Asia remained flat at $180/mt. Upstream, - ethylene was up $50 to $830/mt for FE Asia on June 19, and flat at $850/mt for SE Asia. EDC FOB US Gulf Price unchanged from last week at $95/mt on June 17. Sources from the trade had mixed opinions about the impact that geopolitical tensions on the Middle East would have on Asian demand for US origin cargo.
