EDC: Asian ethylene Dichloride dropped
$10/mt last week to $225/mt CFR Far East Asia Nov. 24 and $250/mt CFR Southeast
Asia Nov. 24, respectively, both at their lowest levels since July 9, 2020. In the week ending Nov.
24, ample supply meant that the Asian EDC market was still under pressure. On Nov. 22, the global EDC markets were also in decline. FOB
USG EDC was down $25/mt week-on-week to $120/mt Nov. 22. According to China Customs data, on Nov. 24, the EDC imports
from China in October rose 114% from a month prior and increased 155.1%
