EDC: Asian ethylene Dichloride rose $5/mt
weekly to be assessed at $295/mt on CFR Far East Asia/Southeast Asia basis
February 16. Asia's chloralkali plants are
experiencing reduced operations, which has caused regional supplies to become
tighter. Middle Eastern supplies were also reported to be
limited. CFR Northeast Asia Ethylene prices rose by
$35/mt week-on-week to $910/mt February 16. Statistics
news: South Korea's EDC exports increased 33.5% in January compared to a month
prior, but fell 1.9% compared to a year ago at 16,086 mt. The latest data from
Korea Customs was February 16. VCM:
Asian vinyl-chloride monomer rose $35/mt on February 16 in line to a stronger
