Asian Benzene: Prices fall with weaker upstream markets / ENEOS settles Aug CP at $770/mt / Buying interest sighted for H2 Oct CFR Taiwan

Asian benzene was assessed $4.84/mt lower on the session at $749.33/mt FOB Korea on Aug. 1, in line with weaker upstream markets. Upstream, the front-month ICE Brent futures fell $1.50/b to $71.84/b, while naphtha fell $7.125/mt on the trading session to $603.875/mt. During the Market on Close assessment process, BP sold October FOB Korea to GS Caltex at $743/mt. The October FOB Korea laycan was assessed at the trade level, while the September laycan was assessed at $744/mt, narrowing the September/October to plus $1/mt, $1/mt down from intraday levels.
