Sources said that the naphtha arbitrage has
been reopened from both Northwest Europe, and the Mediterranean. This will
allow for more cargoes to Asia to help reduce the length of the European
market. According
to Kpler shipping data, June exports to Asia were at 554,000 mt. This is the
highest level in 2022. The Mediterranean exported 292,000 mt while Northwest
Europe 262,000. Japan was the main
destination with 314,000 mt followed by South Korea at 172,000 mt. According to Kpler, the shift in flow resulted in only
90,000. mt being forecast to travel from North Europe to the Mediterranean in
June, as opposed to 375,000 mt in May. Sources
said that gasoline blending demand in Northwest Europe has not picked up as
