- East China's inventory increased 21% in the week- ENEOS reduces its September settlement by
$165/mt compared to August



Asian benzene prices are down $6.66/mt
on the day at $896.67/mt FOB Korea marker September 1. FOB Korea's marker was
rolled over to reflect the H1-H2 October average and H1 November average on
Sept. Physical FOB Korea was less active
during the afternoon trading session. The October loading offer was heard for
$900/mt and $892/mt respectively. The November loading bid was also heard at
$890/mt. Inter-month October-November was
reduced by $8/mt at $7/mt backwardation. According
to market sources, the east China inventory was at 58,500mt on Sept. 1. This is
an increase of 10,000 mt, or 20.62%, over the previous week. ENEOS Corp. Japan's largest benzene manufacturer has settled
its September Asian contract price at $945/mt...
