The Chinese propylene market
fell on Oct. 18, as buyers avoided imports, citing bearish market fundamentals. The December ICE Brent
crude oil contract fell $0.70-$1.89/b, compared to the previous Asian close at
$92.25-$98.56/b 0830 GMT Oct. 18. This pushed down propylene demand. A South Korean propylene trader stated that the market is
still bad and sentiments are generally bad. According to a Chinese buyer, a weak downstream market for
propylene continues to impact demand for propylene imports. China's support of
its zero-COVID policy is further complicating matters. The spread in price between propylene and polypropylene was
